Mummy, it didn't work!!

Friggin' hell, it cracked. At the place where the cast was not joined. As I was taking it out, I saw it cracking. I imagine that, since the silver was not completely around the casing, the tension of contraction focused on that part and POW! she went. Ill do another one when I cast next, and then I will rearrange the spruing to be more uniform. Also the orange colour of the glass changed. I am going to cast at 800C next time. ( really push it) I want to glass to be as soft as I can have it when the molten metal slams into it. I do wonder if I should not vacuum cast though......Maybe spin casting it too harsh.
